01About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Clean-Skills Training collects, uses and protects personal information through this website and the Clean-Skills Training portal at learn.clean-skills.com. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Clean-Skills Training.
We collect only the information we need to provide the training, and we do not sell personal information.
02What We Collect
Buyers and company managers: name, email address, company name, and purchase details such as the course, number of seats, amount and payment reference. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not see or store full card numbers.
Learners: first and last name, email address, the company that assigned the seat, course progress, how much of each training video has been watched, knowledge check and final assessment answers and scores, completion dates and certificate records.
Sign-in and security: sign-in code requests, sign-in times, IP address, and browser and device information. We use these to keep accounts secure, limit the number of devices an account can use, and prevent account sharing and copying of course materials.
Emails: copies of the invitations, sign-in messages and completion notices we send, and any emails you send us.
This website: the website does not use advertising or analytics tracking. Its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when a page loads. The training portal uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in.
03How We Use It
- to provide the training and keep track of each learner’s progress
- to issue Certificates of Completion and confirm them when asked
- to show company managers their own employees’ progress and results
- to send invitations, sign-in codes and completion notices
- to process purchases and keep business and tax records
- to keep accounts secure and protect the course materials from sharing or copying
- to answer your questions and support requests
04Who Can See It
Your employer’s company managers can see, for their own employees only: name, email address, course, progress, final assessment standing and attempts used, completion date and certificate number. If a learner uses all three final assessment attempts without passing, the manager can also see the questions answered incorrectly on the last attempt and the answers chosen, but never the correct answers. Managers cannot see anyone outside their own company.
Clean-Skills Training administrators can see account, progress and purchase records to run and support the program.
Service providers that host the website and portal, store data, deliver the training videos, send email and process payments receive only the information they need to provide those services on our behalf.
We may also disclose information where required by law. If the Clean-Skills Training business is sold or transferred, personal information may be transferred to the new owner so the training can continue, and it will remain protected as described in this policy.
05Where It Is Stored
Personal information is stored and processed by our service providers in Canada and the United States. Information stored outside Canada may be subject to the laws of the country where it is held.
06How Long We Keep It
We keep account, progress and certificate records while a learner’s account is in use and afterwards for as long as needed to confirm completions and certificates. Purchase and business records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Sign-in and security records are kept only as long as they are needed for security.
07Your Choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Some records, such as purchase records we must keep for tax purposes and records needed to confirm a certificate, may need to be kept. If your seat was assigned by your employer, you can also contact your employer.
To make a request, email info@clean-skills.com.
08How We Protect It
Information is sent over encrypted connections. Learners sign in with one-time codes sent to their email, so there are no learner passwords to steal. Access is limited by role: learners see only their own training, managers see only their own company’s employees, and course documents are served only to people entitled to them.
09Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted on this page applies from the date shown at the top.
