01About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to everyone who buys, assigns or uses Clean-Skills Training, including companies, company managers and learners. In these Terms, “Clean-Skills Training”, “we” and “us” mean Clean-Skills Training, and “you” means the person or company buying or using the training.
By purchasing a seat or the Complete package, assigning a seat, or signing in to the training portal, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting them for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to do so on its behalf.
02What Clean-Skills Training Is
Clean-Skills Training is information-based commercial cleaning training, delivered online through narrated video, supporting visuals, written reference material and knowledge assessments. It is designed for general commercial cleaning environments.
It supports, but does not replace, an employer’s hands-on and workplace-specific training. It is not designed as training for healthcare or medical facilities. Some supporting visuals are still a work in progress and may not precisely represent every product, piece of equipment, procedure or workplace setting; the instructional information and narration are the training content.
The procedures taught, including the floor finish procedure, reflect methods used and understood through the course creator’s commercial cleaning experience. They are not the only methods used in the industry.
03Purchases and Pricing
Foundations and Professional are purchased per employee, as seats. Complete is purchased once per company and does not include employee seats. Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD). The price that applies is the price shown at the time of purchase. Applicable taxes are added where required.
A purchase is complete when payment is received. Seats and the Complete package become available to your company once the purchase is complete.
04Seats and Access
Each seat is for one named person. A seat may not be shared between people, and a learner’s sign-in may not be used by anyone else.
A company manager assigns seats to employees from the manager view. If an employee leaves before completing the course, the manager can remove their seat; their access ends right away and the seat returns to the company as unused, ready for the next employee. Once an employee has completed the course, their seat has been used and cannot be reassigned.
Seats do not expire while Clean-Skills Training offers the program. If the program is ever discontinued, we will give reasonable notice where possible so learners can finish their training and save their certificates.
05Accounts and Sign-In
Learners and managers sign in with a one-time code sent to their email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address secure and for the accuracy of the names and email addresses you give us.
We may suspend or remove access if we reasonably believe an account is being shared, misused, or used to copy or distribute course materials.
06Assessments, Completion and Certificates
To complete a course, a learner must watch each module’s video, pass each module’s knowledge check at 80%, and pass the final assessment at 80%. The final assessment allows three attempts. Further attempts are at the discretion of Clean-Skills Training.
Learners who pass the final assessment receive a Certificate of Completion as recognition of successful course completion. It is not a professional certification, licence, accreditation or qualification, and it does not show that the learner can perform the work in a particular workplace. Employers remain responsible for supervising, evaluating and training their employees on the work they actually do.
07Course Materials and How You May Use Them
The videos, assessments, Workplace Reference Sheets, Standard Operating Procedures, Operational Standards, Chemical Reference Library, manuals and all other course materials belong to Clean-Skills Training and are protected by copyright.
Learners may view the training and print or save their own reference material for their own use. A company may print, copy and adapt the reference material, Standard Operating Procedures and Operational Standards it has purchased for use inside its own business, with its own employees.
Course materials may not be resold, redistributed, published, shared with other companies, uploaded to other websites or systems, or used to create competing training. Videos may not be recorded or downloaded.
08Your Responsibilities
Employers are responsible for training employees on their own facility, equipment, products, chemicals, policies and procedures, and for workplace health and safety.
Always follow the product label, Safety Data Sheet, manufacturer instructions, your employer’s procedures and the laws that apply to your workplace. If anything in the training differs from those, they take priority.
09Refunds
All purchases are final and non-refundable, as set out in our Refund Policy. If you are charged twice for the same purchase, or we are unable to provide access to training you paid for, email info@clean-skills.com within 30 days of purchase and we will correct the problem or refund the affected amount.
10Limitation of Liability
The training is general information provided to support, not replace, workplace-specific training and supervision. To the extent permitted by law, Clean-Skills Training is not liable for any injury, loss or damage arising from how the information is applied in a particular workplace, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount paid for that purchase.
11Changes
We may update course content, add or improve modules and visuals, and update these Terms from time to time. The version of these Terms posted on this page applies from the date shown at the top. Changes will not reduce training you have already paid for.
12Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
