What Professional Is Designed to Do

Employee training, with the workplace resources to go with it

Professional is employee training. It builds on the foundational subjects and adds detailed procedures, specialised areas, floor care and commercial cleaning equipment operating procedures — with downloadable workplace resources organised alongside the modules.

It is information-based training, designed to support the hands-on and workplace-specific training provided by the employer.

You do not need Foundations first. The foundation modules are carried over into Professional, so an employee can start here.

Inside Professional

Introduced With Professional

Commercial Cleaning Chemicals

Professional includes a 26-minute Commercial Cleaning Chemicals module covering common types of commercial cleaning chemicals and their purposes.

The training is intentionally brand-neutral. It is not built around one manufacturer’s product line. The purpose is to help employees understand different types of commercial cleaning chemicals and what they are used for, so employers can connect that knowledge to the specific products, labels and procedures used in their own workplace.

The Chemical Reference Library

The Chemical Reference Library is introduced with Professional and is also included with Complete.

Cleaning Chemicals is the one module that ships the printable chemical library in place of a resource package. The course does not teach dilution ratios — it teaches employees to read the safety data sheet and follow what the manufacturer or the company specifies.

Included Materials

A Resource Library, Not Just Course References

A library of 132 downloadable resources, organised with their corresponding training modules.

What they support

Hands-on training and retraining, day-to-day cleaning procedures, equipment care, troubleshooting, quality inspections, safety practices and consistent cleaning standards.

Who uses them

Employees can return to them after finishing their training. Employers and supervisors can use them to reinforce procedures, address performance gaps, support hands-on instruction and keep expectations consistent across the team.

The printable binder

Individual Workplace Reference Sheets are attached to their corresponding training modules, while the completed printable Workplace Reference Sheets binder provides the full collection. Professional also includes the Chemical Reference Library.

Assessment

How Knowledge Is Checked

Two questions per module

Each of the 32 modules includes two knowledge questions.

15-question final assessment

The course finishes with a 15-question final assessment.

Recognition of completion

Employees who successfully complete the applicable Professional training requirements receive recognition of course completion.

What the questions measure

These questions help measure the learner’s understanding of the information presented during the training. Completing Professional does not demonstrate practical workplace competency — employer observation, hands-on instruction and practical workplace evaluation remain separate responsibilities.

Module Progression

How Foundations Progresses Into Professional

Two Foundations subjects are handled differently in Professional. Neither is removed — both are carried forward in greater detail.

Microfiber Cloths → Cross-Contamination

Foundations

Includes a dedicated Microfiber Cloths module.

Professional

Microfiber training is incorporated into the broader Cross-Contamination module and covered in greater detail there. It is carried forward, not removed.

Restroom Procedure → Restroom Quality and Inspection

Foundations

Includes the foundational Restroom Procedure module.

Professional

Professional contains a longer, more detailed Restroom module followed by a separate Restroom Quality and Inspection module.

Two Different Purchases

Professional and Complete Are Not the Same Kind of Thing

Professional

  • Employee training, purchased per employee
  • 32 modules, 132 downloadable resources, the Workplace Reference Sheets binder and the Chemical Reference Library

Complete

  • An employer and company package, purchased once per company
  • Adds the company-level documentation — the Standard Operating Procedures and Operational Standards
Complete is not the next employee training level. It is a different purchase, for the company rather than for an individual employee.

Scope

It supports employer-provided training — it does not replace it

Clean-Skills Professional is information-based commercial cleaning training designed to support a company’s hands-on and workplace-specific training.

It does not replace the employer’s responsibility for hands-on instruction, facility-specific procedures, products and chemicals, equipment, workplace policies and procedures, or site-specific expectations.

Visuals

Some supporting visuals are still a work in progress

Some supporting images and visual demonstrations used within the training are currently a work in progress and may not precisely represent every product, piece of equipment, procedure or workplace setting. The instructional information and narration are the primary training content.

General commercial

Designed for general commercial cleaning

Professional is designed for general commercial cleaning environments. It is not designed to provide training for healthcare or medical facilities, where additional infection prevention and control requirements, procedures, regulations and facility-specific training may apply.

Clean-Skills Professional

Broader Knowledge, With the Resources to Support It

Detailed commercial cleaning knowledge designed to support the training employees receive in the workplace.
